The Barracks is an "A" horse show farm located in Charlottesville, Virginia. Owned and operated by the Bishop family since 1973,The Barracks specializes in boarding, training, selling, and showing hunters, jumpers, and equitation horses. The farm also hosts five "A" horse shows per year.
The Barracks is home to the University of Virginia Riding Team. Virginia Riding is a club sport, and has garnered more national championships than any team at UVA. The team shows at IHSA shows in Zone 4 Region 2.
Riders at the Barracks also enjoy hunting with the Farmington Hunt Club during hunt season. Mr. Thomas Bishop, xMFH and previously fieldmaster, is currently a whipper-in with the hunt.
